The article about the Boston marathon you need to read today

In my opinion, this blog post by Dave Fleet is the only piece you need to read right now about what happened in Boston. One person’s thoughtful reaction. To summarize the author’s flow:

  • I was horrified and glued to my “screens”
  • It brought out the best and worst in humanity, many stories of heroism and care
  • I felt this more than I feel other tragedies, not sure why, not sure that it means, but that’s how it felt
  • We shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions about who did this, and even if it turns out it was some sort of “muslim terrorist” we shouldn’t condemn islam or all muslims – that this is already happening is part of what’s worst in humanity
  • I’m hopeful – here’s why

Great, insightful, honest, self-reflective, thoughtful piece.

Hugs to all.
